Not binding per-se IMHO, but mostly they form a legal disclaimer so no
organisation can be sued for anything said in e-mail by its' employees
as has happened on occasion. If any one tries to make a case of it
they can be then held responsible for "other dissemination or use of
this communication" and be counter-sued.
