"Except for the key-combos" is an understatement. ;-)

Really there's no comparison between the ease and intelligence of
keyboard navigation in Agent and that in The Bat! My bias is that it
should be possible to jump to any unread message anywhere with just one
or two common keys, preferably user-defined.

(The program I mostly use is a mail-news combination called EdMax, which
does feature cross-folder and cross-account tracing of unread messages,
or of newly arrived messages, both forward and backwards, with all
keyboard shortcuts user-definable and even the mouse context menus
user-definable. The author is just now getting around to implementing
Agent-like thread watch/ignore features, so it is shaping up quite
nicely as both a mailer and news reader. Unfortunately for most of you,
the interface is Japanese only, and there's no likelihood of an English
or other language version soon, if ever.)
