Hi Tony,
On 25 May 2000 at 09:47:06 GMT +0100 (which was 09:47 where I
live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points on the subject

Because they don't have VPOP3 / an SMTP server of their own. I use
MDaemon here, the same server as in use to run this list at dutaint.
> How DOES the VPOP3 method work I wonder?
It is an SMTP/POP3 server daemon on a small scale. It can talk both
protocols in full from the MTA/MSA perspective. It implements the same
level of protocol as that used by the SMTP relay servers at the ISPs.

That's a shame :-). It is the main reason I switched to TB as my mail
client of choice. The ticker is not merely a flash "alert - new mail"
graphic that takes up desktop real estate. It is the front end to a
virtual folder containing *all* new mail. Open the ticker virtual
folder and all new mail is collected in one folder for an easy browse
without having to chase through the folder tree in the main window,
leaping from folder to folder tracing new messages to ... wherever the
sorting office may have thrown them.
