Hello All,

I wish I'm missing something simple here, but I've really
spent hours trying to figure out how to ...

1. make The Bat! show dates (in the message list pane) in
the way I'm more familiar with. I'm using Chinese
(Traditional) Windows 98, and no matter how I set the
regional setting of my system, TB insists on showing "dd MM
yyyy", like "25 May 2000". I would like to set it as "MM dd
yyyy", but I couldn't, even after I've set the nationality
of my Windows as "English (United States)". Even funnier
when I set Windows as Chinese (Taiwan), TB still shows "dd
MM yyyy", only where MM is in Chinese.

2. make my "default account column settings" stick. I can
see in each folder's properties an option "Use the default
account column settings", but I can see no place to set the
default account column settings. I tried to click on the
top level account folder (the one showing my account name),
and adjust the column settings by right clicking on the
column bar. Then when I went to the Inbox, it still showed
the old settings, no matter whether the "Use the default
account column settings" option was checked or not. I went
back to the top level folder, and my new settings was gone.

3. set my outgoing messages' encoding. I've tried [Options]
[Message Encoding] [whatever] to no effect. What I really
want to accomplish is to put the following lines in the
header for my outgoing messages that are in Chinese:

charset="big5"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

I know big5 is not one of the supported encoding, but even
when I choose some other encoding, it doesn't work.

Thanks in advance.
