You know, I bought a Galiant 6 port hub just for that job. It was like
40 bucks. It's great to avoid those "dust bunnies" In fact, all I have
to do is shut the power switch on the hub off, and all computers are
disconnected. (I used to do exactly what your saying and although no
straight jackets, I did use a lot of four letter epithets.) The hub
sits in my "bathroom" (of all places) I have computers in the living
room, the kitchen ,and the bedroom / office, I was going to make a
computer room in the garage, but I don't have enough cable right now.
(damn cable is more expensive then an ethernet card)
Hope I gave you a "future idea." Now If I can just get my VMWARE
going....
