Hi Ming-Li,
On 03 July 2000 at 04:33:32 GMT -0700 (which was 12:33 where I
live) [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote and made these points on the subject

ML> Care to explain some more?
Sure. It only works well with proportional fonts when using
proprietary encoding other than plain text where GDI level formatting
and embedded format instructions can be used.
Plain text formatting only works using mono fonts, but then it works
generically. As long as you read the message in a mono font, the
formatting is preserved, no matter what your client software is. Not
so for messages formatted using a proportional font.
Typical of proportional font clients is the fact that sent messages
rarely appear as the author intended.

Yeah - me too. :-)
