The S/MIME functionality was a "work in progress" throughout the
1.45 beta phase, and my understanding is that it remains so to some
degree.
I had first thought that the 1.45 release version wasn't going to
have S/MIME, but quite likely so many folks were having fun
figuring it out that 1.45 was released in "regular" and S/MIME
flavours.
I had seen the suggestion (Curtis?) that it would be best to
download the regular 1.45 first (the one you're using), in order to
obtain the updated help files etc. You can then download the S/MIME
version (tb145sm.zip, which is just an executable inside the zip)
and install on top of it.
It made sense to me, and seemed to work :-)
