of "keep replied message in same folder as the original message.":

I see what you are asking and while I understand the logic, OTOH did
you have TB automatically filter that one-off message into the folder
in which it now resides or did you place it there manually? (See my
point?)
TB can't guess that the message in the outbox belongs in the folder
which had the focus at the time you started writing the reply once it
has made the transition to the Sent folder. While I can see that it
seems a fair enough thought I wouldn't like to try to code the logic
for it! :-)
I move such messages manually and, when I find myself doing so for the
third time, I create a filter.
