Actually, all messages may be viewed in the preview window. The
area of the main TB! window in which message bodies are displayed is the
preview window. When you double click on the ticker, the window that
appears is a folder view window and consists of, from top to bottom, a
toolbar, a message list (if View | Message list is enabled), and the
'message view sub-window'.
If you double-click on any message in the inbox, a window will
appear displaying the message. This is the 'View Folder' window
displaying the Inbox contents.

There's no other way in TB! of having a 'view folder' window
display messages from multiple folders and even across accounts
