And why shouldnt email be presentable? What is it about HTML that
scares people so much. It does not mean that I could put a jscript in
a message and nuke your system (well unless you run a windows product
:-). But like Eudora you could turn off the auto launch feature.
I cant understand the bandwidth argument. Unless I am missing
something .. if you receive a message with html doesn't it require the
same bandwidth as an attachment as if you display. The only exception
to this would be the 'get' of images etc.
Having the ability to send a message to our users with a toc at the
beginning of the note and links to other spots in the note is a great
feature.
So why not just have it optional. Do you think that because some TB
users don't like HTML it will stop?
Isn't going to happen. AND if you want TB to be successful and always
be at the top of the reviews it will be an important add-on. In fact
.. maybe it could be a add-on. If the user has/wants have a switch to
use explorers view or use TB's normal view only. This would allow the
'purists' to have what they want/need.
I do have one question though. When email started there was no bold,
underline etc. Should these simple features be removed?
