Me too! 8-)
Here's the amazing thing about Opera browser's mailer: press F4, and
you have the full-width message list! Press F4 again, and the combined
directory tree / message list view (as in The Bat) returns. It's a
toggle shortcut, simple, intelligent and powerful.
What's more: press the Y key (a badly chosen shortcut key, since on
most non-English keyboards instead of Y you'll find Z), and you see
the message list AND the preview window. Press the same Y key again,
and you see *only* the preview window, full-screen. Press the same Y
key once more, and you return to the full-width message list without
the preview window. This way you may cycle through the three
full-screen views again, and again, and again. It's a *triple* toggle!
Extremely fast, providing the maximum imaginable convenience for
quickly and efficiently browsing through newly arrived mail.
How smart that all is. And how deplorable that nothing even remotely
similar exists or is possible in The Bat!'s exceedingly static,
virtually inconfigurable main window.
