If you're already using PGP, there's no real need to use it. Some may
trust your signature more, if you have a S/MIME certificate certified by
a certification authority. The PGP web of trust and upheld policy to not
wantonly sign certificates as valid unless the other party is sure makes
PGP's certification approach if not exceed that of S/MIME.

With respect to cosy, it doesn't cost anything to be certified provided
that you find an authorised Notary. If not then at Thawte, you need to
pay US$25 and send proof of your identity by mail before you can get
certified.
