Correct, it took me ages to convince TWO of my friends to use encryption in
private or semi-private e-mail. The argument said, was " I don't have anything to
hide, why should I ?", but they meant "Uhh, such a difficult 007-thing and
afterwards I can't read my own msgs... No, that's a tool definetily invented by
the devil itself ! I won't use it !!" The funny thing is that the German
government (ministery of economics) advises all to encrypt *every* e-mail
message.
The side effect of encrypting msgs is that every message is compressed !! This
saves bandwidth (this does not apply to very short messages in general or short
messages when S/MIME is used !!)
PGP is not difficult to use, but some plug-ins do not support all features of
PGP; and this is the part of this mail where it comes to TB:
PGP knows the possibility of automatic decryption/verification. This option can
be selected using TB's plug-in, but this option is not executed at all. Please
correct me if I'm wrong !
