Hello The Bat! developers,
I'm using The Bat! Version 1.49c
Serial Number 14F4B4B2
under Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 1
and would like to report a bug
The bug description:
When using a system-wide hotkey or the mouse to access the ticker
to view messages, the ticker ignores input while the 'N new
messages' text is touching the LHS of the ticker.
While I can see the logic of not having a "ticker current message"
to open with on a double click, IMHO the message view should still
open at the first message in the list when summoned at that point.
Also, IMHO the hotkey combo should *always* open at the first
message in the list, rather than the one which happens to be at
the LHS of the ticker at the moment the key is pressed.
This is a *huge* pain in the rear when using a "minimal" ticker
(small and unobtrusive, just in view at the edge of the screen).
Steps to reproduce the bug:
Use a minimal ticker and try to read messages in order of
appearance starting with the first. Frustrated yet? Did you have
to mark one unread and / or hit home quickly?
Regards,
Marck D. Pearlstone
