Interesting.
Would you try something else then. Disable the mail preview window by
hitting Shift+Ctrl+E. Now, open a message in the view folder window and
try to create a memo for it.
If you have the message displayed in the preview window and then open it
in folder view, the problem that I mentioned will not reveal itself.
