Correct. :) I've head my share of 'testing' what happens when you have a
PGP Disk open en the computer suddenly shuts down. PGP Disk always just
mentioned it was shutdown improperly, but then does a check and opens up
again.

One issue for example I have with PGPDisk is that it behaves TOO MUCH like
a regular disk, in that if your computer is on a network, an administrator
can share the thing (only while it's open of course) and do anything with
your files. Perhaps uninstalling file sharing would work, but then there
are times I actually need to share a file or drive.

Hm. :) That never happened in 3 years using Forte Agent, with 2 years of
Agent sitting on a PGPDisk, pretty much open (Note that I'm NOT saying that
the Agent-PGP disk combination is in any way equally secure as SecureBat,
(it's undoubtably less secure), but I'm just talking reliability. Agent was
open on my computer (2 instances of it) 10 hours a day, almost every day of
the week through several power-cuts and other system crashes, with total
message data at about 60 MB, and I never lost a byte of data.

I guess one way to test how PGPDisk deals with file corruption is to open
up a HEX editor and go corrupt some stuff. :-)

Anyway, I'll look at Securebat before deciding which version to buy.

Cheers,
Han.
