Good night Melissa,

It was foretold that on 8-4-2002 @ 15:53:41 GMT-0700 (which was 0:53
where I live) Melissa Reese wrote and spread these wise comments on
"Editor Wrapping and changing message?":

<snipped a bit>
MR> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
MR> Hash: SHA1

MR> Actually, for my own reasons (as stated in another message in this
MR> thread), I don't advise to disable PGP wrap settings.

Sorry Melissa, after diving into the archives i stand corrected: it
wasn't you who advised me to do that <blush>

MR> As I've mentioned before - that strategy only really works if you only
MR> use PGP with a particular type of message editor. If you need to use
MR> PGP for wider uses, with a variety of editors, a wrap setting in PGP
MR> can be very useful.

Of course, i was referring to my situation as i stated.

MR> I disagree (see above). What you really need to do is think about how
MR> each editing option works, then use them accordingly. "Auto-format"
MR> will wrap text to the very same column as "auto-wrap" will, so if
MR> one's PGP wrap is set to a greater number, messages will not be
MR> re-wrapped by PGP, and signatures will be fine.

or PGP wrapping turned off ?

(i've always found the "auto-format", "auto-wrap" somewhat difficult
to grasp but now it's clear as water :-))
