I was merely responding to the idea of using the integrated version of PGP that comes with TB!. It doesn't really make sense using it unless it's under the most exceptional circumstances or else the user will run into incompatibilities with most other PGP users. I already responded to what you're saying here now. If you wish to use a digital signature without the other party having to learn how to use PGP and manipulate public keys etc., then S/MIME is the way to go and this is the likely reason why it seems to be more popularly used out there. If you can't make the tool simple to use then no one will use it especially if it isn't a tool that is perceived as terribly important. As soon as the typical user meets PGP, they don't wish to learn about it because of the learning curve ... the usual response... 'Why learn all this stuff anyway?? Is it really that necessary?? I have nothing to hide.' :-) - -- -=Allie C Martin=- List Moderator | TB! v1.60g | Windows XP Pro PGP/GPG Public Key: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=2B0717E2 _________________________________________________________________ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQE8yposV8nrYCsHF+IRAv9fAKCziTM/Nfaj4wnrENMBqFV5pIALWwCfXH/S YL7W7FtCyCXii5kOrTBeKf4= =w/6b -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60c FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
