I was installing WinPT. In the PDF file for the install it refers to
OpenPGP that I believe is GPG (i.e. same as GnuPG at
http://www.gnupg.org/).

What functionality specifically does Ritlabs mean on their website at
http://www.ritlabs.com/the_bat/features.html by saying "Internal (no
DLLs needed) fast PGP implementation based on the award-winning
OpenSSL lets you encrypt message and sign them with digital
signatures. Also available as a free stand-alone Digital Keys Library.
Handy manager for digital keys. Free plugins for PGP v5.5, v6.0.2 &
6.5.?"

I know SSL stands for "Secure Socket Layer" which is different from
encryption, but if you follow the "OpenSSL" link it goes on to state
"...as well as a full-strength general purpose cryptography library."
It seems to infer there maybe some functionality I'm missing here
which is why I ask the question.

To my knowledge I have to use the "Tray" windows application to
manually sign messages when using GPG. Reading this list I believe you
can have on the fly seamless signing with PGP which to my knowledge is
owned by NAI. Please clarify. TIA!
