You can't. You don't have to use it anyway. You can create a filter
that will move any message with the sender address in any group/s or
any part of your address book to a particular folder. This is the same
as the known filter.

The known filter was created to, <cough>, make things easier for
newbies. It clearly has it's weaknesses and can be easily recreated
manually.
