Opening a file isn't the same as executing it. I may wish to view a .cmd files contents with a text editor. This will not execute it and viruses can be safely examined in this way. However, executing the file which is to process the files contents with the appropriate interpreter is a different thing. I don't know why they would have an option to scan on execute. <shrug> I can however see with the option to not scan by merely opening the contents of the file in a text editor for examination. - -- -=Allie C Martin=- List Moderator | TB! v1.60p | Windows XP Pro PGP/GPG Public Key: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=2B0717E2 _________________________________________________________________ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQE8/lSJV8nrYCsHF+IRApFqAJ0XJsWgVPxZCiMMSD4yex6+ezSEAgCfXtu1 UZpVm6qzdoU4tdP0iy11dUw= =XrMS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60m FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://bt.ritlabs.com
