MY RESPONSE TO THIS:

Thanks for the information,  To try to explain the " . ".  A user of pgp
told me he used something like that to get a few blank line in between
his last line of the e-mail, and the beginning of the pgp signature
block.

I was looking for a way to add one or two blank lines at the end of the
message, but could not find any.  Just hitting the <enter> key twicw did
nothing.
