Okay, thought I'd re-enable my history, see if I could possibly track down the issue that may be causing it... I noticed two things... I don't think the .his file is corrupt, but contains an extra character that it shouldn't. I'm assuming this because the subject line is recorded in there too, and I've not had it fail on the subject line.
