What I was describing was a automatic filter that changed a particular message [from your sender] to a special color or flagged after just after a certain # of days as one thing, i.e. a filter that deals with those messages on a message level, while at a folder level, other msgs left in the folder after a certain of days are deleted or moved or whatever. These are separate commands at different levels & I'm not sure why they can't work out of one folder automatically. OTOH, I'm not looking to beat a dead horse. This is just a curiosity for me as I think it's possible to do what you want to do automatically.
