Hi Richard,

As with any other AV packages, opinions differ. Many people here have
experienced difficulties with TB!, many are reluctant to use it
because of Symantec's *big corporation* stature, for others NAV has
proved reliable. I've been using NAV, without any complications, for
6+ years. It has managed to run smoothly with TB! so far and did the
same with my previous mail client Pocomail. I can't say the same about
other Symantec products like Systemworks and so forth; they have been
very problematic.

Having said that, I'm looking for an alternate AV package because I've
grown weary of rather large footprint of NAV. I'm obsessed with and
very stingy when it comes to RAM and HardDrive real estate. Ever since
I uninstalled NAV, my system start up time has gone up that much
faster. I like to keep things this way :) To this effect, I'm trying
out AVG.

Apart from my concern with hackfix.org test, I like everything about
AVG: The interface, small footprint, plug-in for TB!, etc... So you
may want to take a look at this package; specially if you tend to use
TB! a lot. Follow this thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]">mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
for discussion on hackfix.org tests and take a look at AVG homepage:
www.grisoft.com.

To reiterate the point I made earlier in the thread, my Access
Violation Errors continue even after uninstalling NAV.

Ok, perhaps we're veering off-course here and any more on this subject
should be taken to TBOT.
