For one thing, I'm archiving all lists I'm a member of and not all
lists run a public accessible archive.
A second reason is access time. Running a search on my local harddisk
with TB is a lot faster than via the net. Nowadays I'm on ADSL and
that's a reasonable connection, but before this summer I had a cable
ISP that was very slow.
As a third reason I like the way TB finds messages even in other
accounts if necessary. And the habit of certain list members to post
message-id's helps only for locally stored messages.
