I echo what Jan replied. It seems to me that there are a few tips that
would help new users (well, all users, really) manage this list. With
those techniques, this list is very helpful and accommodating to new,
non-techy users, because simple questions usually receive simple
replies, and each person can assess how much technical assistance they
need. The tips I find most useful are:
- filtering TB! mailing list messages into a dedicated folder;
- threading messages within the folder by reference;
- parking messages or moving them to an archive folder;
- right-clicking on the folder and choosing to "empty folder"
(or pressing Ctrl+Del) when no more messages seem sufficiently
interesting to read (parked messages will not be deleted this
way).
