This happens all the time when TB! is running or does it happen as
soon as it starts checking for mail?

If ZAP is the problem then merely disabling it will not make a blind
bit of difference. You'll have to uninstall it ... doing so isn't so
easy either. Their homepage has a page that outlines how to
completely remove ZA from your system.

Because it's very likely that it's not TB! that's the problem.
