You quoted Marck's *entire* post below your reply. Even Marck's
signature is included. Most readers of this list don't like having
to download the same text more than once. It's not only redundant,
but it's costly for some who are still using very expensive dial-up
connections.

 - restrict your quotation to include only that much of the original
 message that will convey the context of your answer.

 - most readers here also prefer to initally scan/read the quoted
 text to see what it is you wish to reply to, before actually reading
 your reply. We therefore quote first and then type our reply.
 You'll see a lot of what we term, nested replies. You'll see a
 snippets of quoted text followed by specific replies to each quote.
 This makes for a conversational type flow. It's easier to follow
 and allows those not really following the thread to easily pick up
 what is happening.

Your method of replying is more appropriate for special, private
correspondence. It makes life difficult for your audience in the
context of a discussion list.
