I purchased a new PC with WinXP Pro and installed ZAP 3.x. I not only had slow DL of email, but web pages as well. After switching to Kerio the problems went away. Only suggestions I can make are the following. 1) Software versions & or upgrades should be installed in the chronological sequence they were released. For example don't install FP2k after Visual Studio.Net. I would say the same applies to patches. I had problems with WinXP seeing drives and directories under "My Computer." I narrowed the problem down to either a conflict between HP ScanJet and other installed software, or most likely the order of my installs. Now everything is working fine. 2) If forced to use ZAP, disable the email attachment option. IIRC ZAP will rename the file extension of certain types of files.
