IIRC the '.MSG' files Lookout produces are not 'plain text' files as
OE's .EML and The Bat!'s .MSG files are.
Open one of the related .MSG files in a text editor of your choice
(Notepad, GViM, UltraEdit, whatever; just make sure it's nothing like
"Word", "write" or similar) and have a look if you see only plain text
or similar garbage as The Bat! "makes of it". In the latter case
you've found the culprit: Lookout produces non-usable (at least not
outside Lookout) message files.
