I'm starting to get your point: you move a message today that you received a month ago. Then you cannot find it any more, because it is sorted according to Received time. You want this to be the last in the folder, because it was "received by this folder" as the last message. As I handle my mails as soon as they come in, I didn't think about that and therefore indeed missed your point.
