That  would  be nice. But you'd lose the other functionality available
with  X-Ray. X-Ray performs filtering on both SMTP and POP3, which can
be  very  useful.  And you aren't just restricted to X-Mailer: headers
either.

I'd  like to see something like X-Ray as a plugin for TB! I don't know
whether  that is possible, given the nature of the software, but there
ya go.
