The majority of the spam I receive claims to be generated with Outlook or Outlook Express. Perhaps they prefer an email client more HTML oriented. As The Bat! is already considered by some as a spammer's tool (url below) I really don't think that it makes a difference. I just wonder why Outlook or OE isn't considered in the same category. In any event, filtering spam based on x-mailer or user-agent headers isn't an effective way to combat spam. Perhaps if more email clients allowed x-mailer "adjustments" this ridiculous banning based solely on email client used would be eliminated. http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/spammer.html - -- Kevin Coates Dewitt, NY USA Using TB! v2.01.49 under Windows XP 5.1.2600 SP1 ________________________________________________________________ (see kludges for my pgp key) . -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQE/v5okRbTFvUNHmLkRAn96AKCtb4eIYvfsAiZ8tjOzxHRZrrmpLgCg0Her X33QfXvGpWgMNuJt0DEJrtc= =hvow -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________ Current version is 2.01.3 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
