That's not 100% true. When a POP server responds to a message download
request, the RETR command, it sends the whole message ending with a
period on one line by its self. The Bat! strips this final period out.
Also, if I put a period on one line by its self when witting an
e-mail, The Bat! turns that into two periods before sending (so it
doesn't confuse the server) and then converts it back into one when it
downloads the e-mail.
