If there were no such thing, why is there a CONVERSION PROCESS during
the upgrade? Are you talking about something else? The conversion
process is part of the install for v2. A message box comes up, reporting
that IMAP folder will be created as POP. There is even an apology for
the inconvenience <-- there's an understatement! :)

Where are those instructions?

Perhaps. This was not a beta install. This was installing CE.

When you say "we were always told" what are you referring to? I may
have missed that memo.

Right. That fact is established. But there is a transition process
during v2 install that converts IMAP accounts to POP. If that doesn't
work, why not just pop up a window that says: "Please convert all IMAP
account to POP so that The Bat doesn't screw your message base up, cause
you to unistall, and revert to your backup."

It sounds like I missed this advice.

Oh come on... to say "everything seems to be doing OK" is completely
relative. Your response was either in jest, or naive and myopic. Surely
you haven't missed the numerous problems with v2.....?

Not as cute as you probably intended.

Will do. Thanks for the help.
