Ah. In the interests of space conservation, I don't have the envelope showing. But now 
I've got the spacebar thing sorted, it's nothing like as much of a problem. (Still 
annoying - I've got unread messages showing as green text on a very pale yellow 
background to help them stand out, but I'd go back to the white background if this got 
solved.)

See my other message for what I think is a solution for this. Let's face it, just 
hitting the spacebar is a lot easier than "ctrl-]" :-)
