I'm sure it will get solved pretty soon. :) These are actual problems with, well, I guess technically it could be with the way TB renders .GIFs. The problem is that these "funky" .GIFs have a different sized first frame (think a movie), and TB sets the area of the image based on the first frame. It may be right, it may be wrong (I'm not familiar with the RFC pertaining to valid .GIF images, but one or the other is wrong.
