Avi We have a very simple solution on our system (4 computers on a standard peer to peer network running under Win XP). We simply have one copy of the Bat on one of the machines, which is designated the server (where we save all files and which is backed up regularly). We then access the Bat .exe on the server from any of the machines on the network (using a desktop short cut) from which we want to use the Bat. The Bat opens on all of the machines without any fuss, and we can create accounts for any of the users using this master copy (making sure that the home directory is on the server, not the local machine). This approach has the virtue of simplicity, and makes installing upgrades very simple, as you only have to upgrade the Bat on the server. If you wanted to access your email whilst on the road with the laptop you would either need to purchase a separate copy of the Bat and install it fully on the laptop. Alternatively you can set up a VPN which still accesses the .exe on the server. However, this is very slow.
