So, Avi could presumably set a few days as the automatic deletion time on the PC. And if he happens to take the laptop out of town for more than that length of time, he could do a manual delete through the Message Dispatcher. On my two POP3 accounts (the only TB! accounts that I have) I delete nearly all my messages from the server manually, from the Message Dispatcher. However, I have TB! set to delete Read messages from the server after 3 days--just as a backup. > IMAP is supposed to allow you access to the same message base from > different computers, but I have never used it and do think it would be > an overkill for your purposes. But then, the same policy as I > described for POP may work as well. Not only overkill for Avi's purposes. Another drawback to using IMAP with 3.51.10 is that it is still not usable for some people, per reports on TBBETA. TB!'s IMAP is still a work in progress, and is one focus of the on-going beta series, post-3.51.10. -- Best regards, Mary The Bat! 3.51.10 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.51.10 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
