  Not here, unless I am doing something wrong somehow.  Moving the
  folder "out" does nothing since it isn't a sub folder of another
  folder but rather a first level folder of an account. And even after
  having executed that function, the folder can't be moved into another
  account.

  And you could move the folder into a different account? If so, my
  installation and yours are functioning differently or I am doing
  something different than you are.

  Remember I am trying to move a folder from one account to another, so
  you would need to have two accounts to run a test (though perhaps you
  meant you tested it on a single "folder" rather than on a single
  account).

  The key combination is Ctrl-Shift-Left Arrow to move the folder out,
  and as I said above that doesn't permit me to move it into the new
  account.

  Yes, but I could tolerate that if it works. It is a one-time event.

  However, it would be much easier and more intuitive if one could
  simply cut a folder from one account and paste it into another. But,
  alas, that doesn't seem to be an option.
