[Is this thing on? Is there no other list members that care about this issue? This is a big issue in the legislature and will define the platforms of canidates for Governor. No matter what viewpoint you have, please provide input! Common ground *can* be met and perhaps can be provided as ideas towards lawmakers to get a plan that makes *the people* happy instead of one of two potentially lopsided plans. (or whatever your personal viewpoint on that is, even)]

I also I believe the met council is very behind 'transit communities', where people can walk to mass transit and be close to a limited amount of shopping so they don't need to use their cars as often and alieviate infrastructre cost. Actually, it doesn't go that far, just up to Elk River. I tried it on wednesday, its basically nice coach buses that start from the 5th street station and go to Coon Rapids and Elk River. I'm moving up to Coon Rapids this weekend and going to probally keep riding this route. The park and ride is right next to the rail line, so eventually the lot could be used for a rail offering. > not through pipe-dream expansion of the Lowry Hill Tunnel, but by getting Agreed, I was more highlighting the politics involved and how alternative arguments (sane lanes not open) have been used to muddy the issue. -- Scott Dier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.ringworld.org/ Coon Rapids, home UMN, east bank, work _______________________________________________ Twin Cities Metropolitan Issues Forum http://www.e-democracy.org/tcmetro Rules: Sign posts with real name.
