Hello! I'm Scott Dier. I've lived in Maple Grove, Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Arden Hills, and am now living in Coon Rapids.
My main issue is multi-modal transportation. I'm very behind funding many forms of transit to hopefully hold down our transportation problems in the metro area in the future. I'm very adverse to notions that the 'train' will suck away all funding for roads, etc. I expect this will become a hot topic quickly here. Otherwise, I'm very interested in telecommunications and how it affects the metro area. Of current interest is the glut of near bankrupt companies with now-empty promises of the future and the cities that continue to support (and in some cases challenge) the monopolies. (the ATTBI + Comcast merger is a great example, did anyone at least minimally do some poking around to be sure your city was doing what they thought was best for the residents instead of what got them some extra perks from the cable company?) Thanks. -- Scott Dier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://www.ringworld.org/ _______________________________________________ Twin Cities Metropolitan Issues Forum http://www.e-democracy.org/tcmetro Rules: Sign posts with real name.
