Eden Prairie has dropped out of contention in the, "Build the Vikings a Stadium" completion. Now it seems to up to the good folks in Anoka to provide a stadium at the bargain basement price of only $600,000,000 (including up to $240,000,000 in countywide sales taxes ). I could have spelled out million, but it is much more fun to type in all of the zeros. I don't know if other State Representatives have done this, but Paul Kohls (State Representative 34A, Carver and Scott Counties) sent out a survey and the results are in. One question was, "Do you support legislation such as taxable revenue bonds that would help finance a new stadium?" Yes: 347 (31%), No: 759 (69%). You may not know this, but I do believe that Carver County has the highest percentage of Republican voters of any county in the state. There is not much new stadium support in this part of the metro area.
