Let's hold off on saying this is even part of the battle until voices
outside of the ultra-transit-rejective in the House and the Taxpayers
League aren't the only voices against all trasnit. There are very few
legislators fully against transit solutions. Many of them use different
terms (balanced transportation, for instance), but they dont advocate
burning the busses in piles like we did street cars years ago.

Lets not let the Taxpayers League co-opt the healthcare debate to their
own interests -- government that only works for the well heeled. The
strike is a great example of our healthcare system failing the working
class, legislators need to note that it isn't limited to the public
sector. The continued governmental failure in healthcare will cause
failures in the form of strikes and working class unrest. This isn't
the end by any means.

I'm reluctant to ask the Union to take the effects of the strike into
account. The dispute is a contract issue between the State and the
Union, not the Union and the Riders. The union has agreed to binding
arbritration and going back to work immediately under the old contract
until its figured out through arbritration. What else do you want them
to give up? Just sign whatever the State presents?
