I'm looking for solutions, not "The sky is falling" proposals.

You need to explain exactly what you are refering to when you make an insult like that. Just who do you think you are anyway? Are you looking for handout? Sympathy? What!

We have a fundamental different perspective on things. You believe that we should all live like our great-grandparents did by seldom traveling more than a few miles from our home. That is unrealistic in today's society, and it is just not going to happen despite your frequent postings on global warming (which I think are grossly overstated, but you can rebut in the national issues forum).

I am nothing more than just another person earning a living and paying my taxes. I am looking for the same thing everyone else is--a decent and effective transportation system for the Metro area. The transportation system is what keeps a community alive and serves its needs by delivering workers, goods, and services to where they are required. The mode of transportation may change, but this has been the truth since the beginning of civiliazation.
