I admit to playing devil's advocate here. I have no settled opinion. I just searched for "card sorting" wiki and found 10 pages of hits. Several wikis as well as elsewhere. How would someone select among those wikis? A wiki almost by definition has no "voice," no consistent point of view.
In terms of stated purpose, my impression is that a separate wiki would work well for a restricted audience, such as topics that should not be public, for example internal topics in a collaborative organization.
