A medium has no control over voice. The voice lies in the content. The wikis that have no voice probably have poor content. I'd like to think that a group of tech writers would create a consistent voice. ;-) > In terms of stated purpose, my impression is that a separate wiki would work > well for a restricted audience, such as topics that should not be public, > for example internal topics in a collaborative organization. It's all about intent. A wiki for wiki's sake will be doomed to failure. If there's a clear purpose for a wiki, public or private, it will thrive. The same can be said about any form of web site, which is all a wiki (or a blog) is. -- Bill Swallow HATT List Owner WWP-Users List Owner Senior Member STC, TechValley Chapter STC Single-Sourcing SIG Manager http://techcommdood.blogspot.com avid homebrewer and proud beer snob "I see your OOO message and raise you a clue." _______________________________________________ Are you a Help Authoring Trainer or Consultant?
