I've been following this thread with only one eye, so forgive my simple
response.

I completely agree with Bill.  The two *can* coexist, but I'm wondering if
it would be better to simply set up a wiki without the 'discussion' section.

If you look at Wikipedia, you can easily imagine configuring the site to
support Tech Writers and Tech Writer issues:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

A viable purpose would be to use a tech writer wiki site (techwiki.org?
wikiwriter.org?) as a central repository for all of the related/relevant
information that we currently scour the web..I mean, Web for :^)
