The last two digital SLR cameras I purchased did not include any memory,
so if you didn't purchase a card at the time you might get home and not
be able to take any pictures. Interestingly, on the first occasion I had
to ask if a memory card was included - the salesman did not volunteer
this information. 
The first time I bought a digital camera it included a small CF card so
you could get started.
The meaning of "everything included" is shrinking.
